Shelter From The Storm

Our youngest daughter and her family live just behind us (on our farm) and in a mobile home. Last night, just as we were leaving Bible Study, a storm broke loose! As we arrived home, our daughter, her husband and two young daughters, were rushing into our house...."seeking shelter" as it were. Once everyone was settled inside, and seemingly safe, this thought came to me.....

This is so much the same way that we as Christians seek shelter in our "Father's" house (His arms, His Word, His love)......it's within His presence that we can find shelter from the "storms" that we face daily.......just in that same way, our children sought safety in our home... Kinda neat, isn't it?

Isaiah 25:4 You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall.

Isaiah 32:2 Each man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.
